Liquibase Enterprise was formerly known as Datical DB.
Prerequisites
You have downloaded the installer for Windows or Linux systems. See Downloading the Datical DB Installer
Prior to upgrading, you can choose to keep your older version installed or uninstall it.
If you choose to uninstall, follow these instructions: Uninstalling Datical DB Components .
If you choose to keep your older version installed, follow this best practice:
BEST PRACTICE: It is always best to maintain a consistent naming convention for directory where you install Liquibase Enterprise.
Your latest version could be installed in C:\Apps\DaticalDB
directory on Windows or /opt/DaticalDB
directory on Linux and rename directory for older versions as follows:
C:\Apps\DaticalDB_7.0
on Windows or/opt/DaticalDB_7.0
on LinuxC:\Apps\DaticalDB_7.2
on Windows or/opt/DaticalDB_7.2
on LinuxC:\Apps\DaticalDB_7.5
on Windows or/opt/DaticalDB_7.5
on Linux
Best Practice Upgrade Order
You must upgrade your components in this order for Liquibase Enterprise to operate correctly. Liquibase can verify upgrades to individual components in between the upgrade steps.
Upgrade GUI admin workstations
Optional Testing: Test a deployment
Upgrade agents
Optional Testing: Test a deployment
Upgrade DMC database
Optional Testing: Test a deployment
Upgrade DMC
Optional Testing: Perform a systemwide acceptance test
It is required to upgrade the DMC after agent and GUI updates occur. During this process you can’t view reports in DMC.
Upgrading Liquibase Enterprise
Upgrading Liquibase Enterprise/Datical DB requires installing a new version. Follow the steps here:
